The Coop, meaning little chicken house, is a lovingly converted barn, once used on our family’s poultry farm. Guests will love staying in this beautiful, former farmyard barn, where you literally just nest and rest. Located on the edge of the village of Whitstone, amidst the prettiest traditional Cornish hedgerows and farmland, The Coop has been designed to maximise the light, achieving spacious and airy rooms, which have been equipped at a high level to provide all you need for a relaxing stay. Chill out in the hot tub, on the private and enclosed patio area, and enjoy the calming countryside and surroundings.

The Coop sits on the edge of the family’s farm near the village of Whitstone, which is just one mile away, where there are some beautiful walks. Whitstone has a village shop which sells local produce, ideal for any forgotten items or simply a morning paper. The Saxon village of Week St Mary is just two miles from The Coop, and is just five miles inland from Widemouth Bay beach, perfect for surfing, swimming and beach fun.

Bude town is seven miles away, where you will find the main supermarkets, smaller specialist shops, eateries, coffee shops and many recreational activities. There are plenty of pretty walks in and around the village of Week St Mary. Enjoy the circular walk through Ashbury woods, beneath the Iron Age fort, to the remains of a medieval manor of Penhallam, which was only discovered in the 1960’s, returning via Week St Mary church.
